Name: Marsha Tyler
Ministry Position: Executive Secretary
Have you ever met anyone famous? Emmitt Smith. I was helping on the 9th hole in a Celebrity Golf Classic. My job was to place a flag by any ball that landed near me to help the golfer. Emit Teed off and the ball landed right behind me, so I placed my flag by the ball as I had been instructed. When he came to take his second shot he exclaimed, I’m out of bounds, to which I responded, “there’s an out of bounds in golf?” I was obviously so shocked by this new information that he sweetly put his arm around my shoulders and gave me a quick golf lesson. He was great!
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given? Pursue a deep and personal relationship with Jesus. It will change your life.
If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be? Mashed potatoes and gravy.
Why do you serve at SeaGlass? The Lord called me to ministry in my late 20’s and I’ve never looked back. My hearts cry is that there will be more people in Heaven than Hell because of the work I do. It is my great joy to serve the Lord and this congregation using the skills He’s given me.
What do you like best about serving in your position at SeaGlass? I love when the Lord speaks through me with a brilliance I know is not my own to give hope or encouragement to someone. The Lord truly dazzles me, and I absolutely love to see how He changes the lives of individuals through His unconditional love, grace and mercy. It’s my honor to help Him build His Kingdom in whatever way I can.
